Final Reports

It is not until the moment you start to practice when you realise how important it is to have a defined structure when writing a report. When presenting a writing project it must be something serious so it must follow some tips so you create a good impression on readers.

 

First of all, it is needed a formal first page where it is stated the company, department and people who do it, the name of the project and also the date. Here there is a good example on how to get a good result.

Afterwards, a blank page it is needed so then we can start the document by an abstract of the hole content where a heading and the number of the page must be included. This heading must appear in the rest of the pages from then on and should state the title of the project, the authors and the company. Let me show you an example:

It is also quite important to include an acknowledgement part, where to thank collaborators, before stating the content of the whole writing. Then, before starting with the main content of the project, in some cases it is needed to establish an index of the figures and tables of the written part. Now, the most meaningful part must start.

Its beginning field is compulsory to be a brief introduction to the topic where the goals to achieve by the project must be shown as well as the background. All of the content sections must be numbered according to different topics inside the title of the project. Lists, images and tables are good options to clarify the information. Remember it is really important to mark the source of any of this multimedia and make references that must be included at the end of the report.

Finally, between the content and the references part, conclusions according with the objectives, stated in the introduction, must be written as well as the budget and appendix.
