FIFA Ballon d'Or Body Language

This week lesson had to do with a beginning to the study of body language. Also, this past Monday took place the election of the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2013, the best football player of the year, at Zurich, event broadcasted all around the world and followed by many people. At the end of this post I will leave you a link in order to see the highlights of the awards so that you can check my following analyse about what they say with their body.
We can see that most of the awarded people is unable to move their arms due to nervousness and emotion although they are balancing on the stage because of the same reason. Even some of them finally show the contained feelings by crying. This fact is easy to check when comparing footballers or trainers with those who hand out the trophies or the presenters who emphasize more their actions, talk more calm and keep all the time a kind appearance.
On the other side, the finalists also have different reactions. Let’s focus on the last award won by Cristiano Ronaldo. While Lionel Messi remains after knowing the winner with a smile on its face the other player, Franck Ribery gets a serious face although he keeps clapping.
